Worcester Youth Sound Off: Black Lives Matter

An open-mic style discussion for Worcester Area teens on their experience in the wake of Mike Brown’s death, and in the age of #BlackLivesMatter. Bring works to share: poems, songs, writings or simply your thoughts. Hosted by youth for youth.

A town-hall style discussion with Worcester Area teens on their experience in the wake of Mike Brown’s death, and in the age of #BlackLivesMatter. Hear, hold, and listen to youth Sound Off, as the community comes together to respect, validate and encourage them.

This facilitated dialogue will focus on creating a safe space for teens to discuss their thoughts, ideas, feelings and reactions to recent events, generally guided by these key questions:
What does #BlackLivesMatter mean to you? What is your experience with racism? the police? How can your community support you now and in the future? What does a world free of racism look like?
