Organizing Training 2


We have run community organizing trainings in 2011 and 2012.

Topics include / Tópicos incluyen:

  • 1 to 1 techniques / técnicas de 1 a 1
  • Story-telling? / contando historias
  • History of community organizing / historia de organización comunitaria
  • Power mapping / mapas de poder
  • Anti-oppression work, with a focus on Undoing Racism, Gender and Ageism? / trabajo en contra de la opresión, con un enfoque en Deshaciendo Racismo, Género y la discriminación por edad
  • Economic systems / systemas economicas
  • Art & activism: creative expression for liberation / arte y el activismo: expresión creativa para la liberación

Training is $25 suggested donation, FREE for low-income individuals, $50 suggested organization contribution.

  • No prior organizing experience is required.
  • Interpretation for Spanish will be available.
  • Childcare will be provided.
